At Micronet Techno, we support employees who challenge themselves with new things. Challenges include improving one’s techniques, solutions, administration, company management, reconsideration of things that normally taken for granted and recommendations for alternatives. It’s also acceptable to fail at one’s challenges from time to time, since it’s better to have given the effort than to not have tried at all. We understand this and thus consider it beneficial to us to provide the resources and support to those willing to challenge themselves.
We support and recommend job sharing in our company. Although in general the office is not the place for playing, spreading out labor during difficult periods ensures that proper time is given for playing and recharging while continuing to provide service to our customers. Our employees must be first and foremost, highly flexible, although there are places where flexibility is not tolerated or recommended. At Micronet Techno, our aim is to play hard and work hard: to improve upon the talent to not sacrifice one of these at the expense of the other and increase flexible “and” thinkers instead of “either/or” ones.
The office is located in Yokohama Landmark Tower - the second tallest building in Japan, with excellent disaster provisions, starting with seismic base isolation system. It houses the Landmark Plaza Shopping Mall (employees receive special discounts using their ID card), a number of restaurants, and even a hotel. The Bay Bridge, the Hikawa Maru ocean liner, Yokohama Marine Tower and of course, a beautiful night view can be seen from our 37th floor office windows. Our office layout does not include rooms for the president or board members so that our employees may be able to enjoy the layout and scenery the most.
Currently, we install a variety of Cloud and IT technologies and converting internal communications. We are also creating an optimal environment for employee collaboration regardless of their location when needed via Microsoft Office 365. Our planned infrastructure improvement would reduce delays in decisions and judgements due to communication loss without putting constraints on employees’ time. In addition, these investments are part of our preparations for starting our global business.
